Discover the Islands of the Seychelles
The Seychelles is an archipelago of around 115 islands in the western Indian Ocean. Most visitors explore the three main granitic islands, Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, and add a day trip to a marine park island such as Moyenne Island. Each has its own character, so a trip that combines several gives you beaches, nature, history and culture in one holiday.
Mae Tours Seychelles is a local tour operator, and we can plan your island days with hotel pick-up, boat transfers and local guides.

Praslin: Garden of Eden and Beautiful Beaches
Praslin is the second-largest island, about 44 km north-east of Mahé. It is greener and quieter, with the UNESCO-listed Vallée de Mai and its rare coco de mer palms, and beaches such as Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette. It is also the departure point for trips to Curieuse, Cousin, Aride and La Digue.

Best for: Nature lovers, beach days and families.
La Digue: Bikes, Boulders and Slow Island Life
La Digue is small, relaxed and car-free in feel, with most visitors travelling by bicycle or ox cart. It is home to Anse Source d’Argent, one of the most photographed beaches in the world, and L’Union Estate, a former plantation with giant tortoises.
Highlights: Anse Source d’Argent, L’Union Estate, Grand Anse, cycling around the island.
Best for: Photography, cycling and a slower pace.
Moyenne Island: A Marine Park Escape
Moyenne is a small island in the Sainte Anne Marine National Park, a short boat ride from Mahé. It is known for its giant Aldabra tortoises, forest trails, quiet beaches and clear water for snorkelling, and for the story of the man who restored it from neglected land into a nature reserve.
Highlights: Tortoises, snorkelling, glass-bottom boat views, island walk.
Best for: Easy day trips from Mahé, wildlife and families.

How to Travel Between the Islands
Mahé has the international airport and the main port, and Praslin has its own airport. Inter-island ferries and flights connect the main islands, and La Digue is reached by boat, often via Praslin. Schedules change often, so ask us for current options and we’ll help plan the transfers.
Best Time to Visit the Seychelles Islands
You can visit all year round. The calmest seas and best snorkelling conditions are generally April to May and October to November. December to January and July to August are busy, so book early.
